Omega 3 Fish Oil
Omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil help maintain healthy structure and function of the ocular tissue by supporting the body’s natural anti-inflammatory response and protecting eyes from damage. Fish oil is the best source of the omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA.
EPA promotes a healthy heart and body. It is an anti-inflammatory, supports cardiovascular health, promotes fat loss, reduces joint pain and inflammation, improves circulation, and supports healthy aging.
DHA helps create a healthy mood, mind, and memory. It supports memory, learning, focus, concentration, and positive mood. Also, it promotes optimal brain function, prevents cognitive decline, and protects eyes from age-related damage. It is also required for a healthy pregnancy, and it supports the developing fetus, infant, and child.
GLA gives you healthy skin, hair, and hormones. It helps relieve symptoms of PMS; maintains hormonal balance via prostaglandin metabolism; promotes smooth, healthy looking skin; supports healthy joints; reduces inflammation in the lungs; and supports mental well-being.
Fatigue, poor memory, immune weakness, dry skin, hearth problems, and mood swings are some early signs of EFA deficiency. Ask your doctor at Insight Eye Care about how adding fish oil to your diet can improve the health of your eyes and body.
LATISSE™ Eye Lash Enhancement
Introducing a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis (another name for having inadequate or not enough eyelashes) used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker, and darker.
What is LATISSE™?
It is a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis used to grow eyelashes.
How does it work?
LATISSE™ is believed to affect the growth phase of the eyelash hair cycle in 2 ways:
• It increases the length of this phase
• It increases the number of hairs in this growth phase.
How soon will I see results?
The onset of effect with LATISSE™ solution is gradual. In the clinical trial, the majority of LATISSE™ users saw a significant improvement within 2 months.
How is LATISSE™ different?
Only LATISSE™ has been approved by the FDA as a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis used to grow eyelashes. It also has been studied in clinical trial to demonstrate its safety and effectiveness.
Can anyone use LATISSE™?
You should not use LATISSE™ solution if you are allergic to one of its ingredients. Also, tell Insight Eye Care if any of the following apply to you:
Previously diagnose with eye pressure problems: People with a history of eye pressure problems (specifically elevated intraocular pressure) should speak to an eye care specialist before starting LATISSE™
Currently taking medication for eye pressure problems: People taking medication to lower their IOP should be closely monitored while using LATISSE™ solution
Have risk factors for glaucoma: People with risk factors for an eye condition called glaucoma, including a family history of glaucoma, should speak with Insight Eye Care before starting LATISSE™
Is LATISSE™ Safe?
The safety and effectiveness of LATISSE™ was shown in a clinical trial. Ask Insight Eye Care for more information about the safety of LATISSE™ solution.
What are the possible side effects with LATISSE™?
The most common side effects are eye itching or eye redness. These were reported by about 4% of users in the clinical trial. LATISSE™ solution may cause other less common side effects, which typically occur on the skin close to where LATISSE™ is applied, or in the eyes. These include skin darkening, eye irritation, dryness, or redness of he eyelids.
If you develop a new eye condition (like an eye trauma or infection), experience a sudden decrease in vision, have eye surgery, or develop any eye reactions, particularly an infection and eyelid reactions, you should immediately talk to your doctor about whether or not to continue using LATISSE™ solution.
iZon High Resolution Lenses
It’s extraordinary to think that vision correction technology relies on the same measurements and technology used generations ago. That’s all about to change. Introducing iZon® High Resolution Eyeglass Lenses - a quantum leap forward in vision correction. Using technology unlike anything else in optometry, iZon Lenses offer a whole new standard for perfect vision.
They not only address your acuity of vision (which line you can read on the eye chart at 20 feet), they also improve the quality of your vision. You’ll see with far more sharpness, contrast, and clarity than ever before possible.
How iZon Lenses Work?
Did you know your eyes are like fingerprints? No two are alike—not even your own two eyes. And yet with conventional vision correction, thousands of people may share your same iPrint. Based on measurement technology used a generation ago, it’s this ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach that can limit you from seeing beyond the ordinary. But now with the iZon® eye exam your eye care practitioner is able to capture your unique ocular fingerprint, or iPrint™, delivering a diagnosis with data never before available. For the first time your prescription is a match to your unique optical requirements. Taking what is unique to your eyes and customizing your prescription, no one in the world will have your same iPrint.
Here’s what makes everybody’s eyes different: your eyes have tiny microscopic irregularities, or aberrations, that oftentimes distort light as it passes through the cornea and lens and onto the retina. This can have a significant impact on the quality of your vision affecting things like depth perception, crispness, contrast, color perception and even nighttime vision. Until now there was nothing your eye doctor could do to identify or address these imperfections unique to your eyes.
How can iZon High Resolution Lenses improve the quality of my vision while other lenses cannot?
iZon Lenses are the first eyeglass lenses that are custom-made from your own iPrint™. They address the vision problems associated with the microscopic irregularities (higher order aberrations) of your eyes that can impact how light passes through your eyes, and therefore, how well you can see.
Are iZon High Resolution Lenses available in glasses as well as contact lenses?
Currently iZon Lenses are available for single vision spectacle lenses for the correction of myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness) and mild astigmatism and in Progressive Addition Spectacle Lenses (multi-focal).
