  Insight Eye Care is excited to announce that Dr. Anna Malikowski has joined our practice. She graduated form Illinois College of Optometry in 2003 and enjoys giving back to the community.

 Relay For Life 2012

Eye'z on a Cure has raised $181.00 as of May 1st, 2012 for the 2012 Relay For Life. The relay will take place on July 20th, 2012 at 6pm at the Becker High School.

Our goal this year is $1,500. To help reach our goal you may donate by stopping in one of our offices or by Clicking Here . This will take you to our team page.

We are aslo holding a fundraiser in all of our offices. You may donate a $1 and print a name of a person you know that has been affected by cancer on a team shirt. We will wear the shirts as we walk around the track at the Relay.

We want to thank everyone for their donations.

INSIGHT FOR HUNGER PICNIC

Insight Eye Care is hosting their annual Insight for Hunger Picnic on June 9th at the Gazebo Park in Paynesville. There will be a car show and kid games. Also, with the donation of a non-parishable food item or a monetary donation you may enjoy a lunch on us. We will serving lunch from 11:30 to 12:30.  Come out and join us!

 Insight Eye Care has Dry Eye Accreditation

Living in Minnesota during the winter months can contribute to many patients developing dry eyes.  Dry eyes can not only cause irritation and "watery eyes," but also decreased vision. Insight Eye Care is keeping up with the latest technology in the diagnosis and treatment of dry eyes. That is why we became the only Optometric office in St. Cloud to become acredited as a Tear Lab Dry Eye Center. We have the ability to measure tear osmolarity with the Tear Lab, which helps us diagnose, treat, and monitor a patient's dry eyes.  Click here for more information.

Not all Omega 3 is the same

Protect your eyes from UV Radiation

Cheap low quality sunglasses can do more harm than good.  The poor optics can decrease your vision and the poor quality UV filter may not protect your eyes from the damaging UV radiation than can lead to cataracts and skin cancer.  High quality sunglasses will not only provide better optics and vision, but also protect the eye and surrounding tissue from harmful UV rays. 

 Not all Progressive "No-Line Bifocals" are the same!

Why not see your best?  Many progressive lenses have their own prices and features and may not provide you with the best high quality vision you deserve. Many cheap progressives may provide more peripheral blur and not maximize the width of your intermediate vision used for the computer. Dr.'s Dubow, Friederichs and Nelson are proud to be involved in clinical research. They have partnered with companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Bausch & Lomb, and Ciba Vision to work in the development of new contact lens materials, contact lens solutions and eye drops. By partnering with these companies, we are able to remain at the forefront in offering the newest products, often before they reach the general public. Vision is Important for Learning!

We support Lions Club

Drs. Friederichs and Nelson are active Lions Club members.  Our office supports Lions Club and the community in many ways and you can help.  By dropping off your unused eyeglasses, we will send them to the Lions, where they will be used to help people around the world.  Both Dr. Friederichs and Dr. Nelson have participated in International mission trips and witnessed first hand the benefits offered through the Lions.
